Action Center: Things You Can Do Today

The excesses and outrages of this presidential administration are unprecedented — and so are the reactions around the country.
Our not-so-silent majority is fighting back, speaking out, and organizing every day. This page serves as a resource
for those looking to get involved, particularly in Contra Costa County.

How To Get Involved

Sign Up for Updates
or to Volunteer
Some ways to help right now include research, data entry, event planning, and voter registration. Sign up to volunteer or to receive updates on our activities across the County.
Community Organizing
Get a list of voters and door hangers with our slate of endorsements to share with your neighbors. This is one of the most effective and powerful ways you can help make a difference!  Attend an organizational meeting and learn how you can be part of the Grassroots Organizing (GO) Team.
Attend an Event
Attend a field outreach event through the Democratic Party!  We are getting out there in the community, talking to our friends and neighbors, and we would love for you to join us.
Participate with a
Local Democratic Group
Both socially and politically, our chartered Democratic clubs are an essential facet of the County Democratic Party and a key voice in the community. You're welcome to find one (or more) that fits you. Click here for a list of clubs' contact information, or look here at some of the things clubs are doing across the county.
Donate to Support
Local Organizing
Our County Party has the mission and infrastructure needed for organizing, communication, training, advocacy, and more. We're a grassroots organization with a small staff and hundreds of volunteers -- funded completely by local supporters like you. Please give what you can today to keep us going strong!
Contact Your Elected Representatives
Contacting your elected representatives personally is one of the most important things you can do to effect change on an issue. Put their numbers on speed dial -- it only takes a few minutes after hearing news to then take action!
Write a Letter to the Editor
Sending a letter to a news media outlet can be an effective way to reach a wide audience and influence "opinion leaders," particularly at the local level. Now is the time to value and exercise your First Amendment rights! Click for a list of editorial contacts in Contra Costa, and for some tips to help your letter get published.
Prepare to Run for Office
or Work on a Campaign
For any Democrat thinking about running for office or managing a campaign, we're holding a series of trainings this summer on topics including fundraising, communications, field organizing, and management. To request more information about the County Party's training program, email <
